Does the team leader board take account of different size teams?

The team leader board is based on average points earned per user signed up. That way if your team is smaller than other teams you are not at a disadvantage.

How do I find out which team I'm in?

When you sign up to Green Rewards you will select your team from a drop down list of predetermined teams. These teams are based on CBC Directorates so it should be clear which one to sign up to. If you are unsure which team you are in, there is a 'not listed' option that opens a form to fill out. We will then get back to you.

Do we have to start an account online?

Yes, Green Rewards is an online programme. You can take part by signing up through the website or through the app. You can download the app via the Google Play store by searching 'Charnwood Green Rewards' or for the iOS app you'll need to request a unique code.

Do the prizes get presented to the team (rather than individual) .... and then the team shares the prize between them?

There are two types of prizes on offer through Green Rewards. Individual prizes such as £10 vouchers and raffle items that are won by staff and presented to them as individuals to use as they wish. Team prizes such as charity donations are awarded to the entire team with the donation being made in their names.

I cycle to work - are there any rewards available for this?

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent move to home working we are not currently promoting and rewarding commuting methods. We will however look into adding activities around active commuting such as walking and cycling, as well as sustainable commuting, such as by bus, car share or train when appropriate to do so.

I'd like to buy a bike to be able to cycle to work .... will this be facilitated by CBC?

Thank you for your question and interest in buying a bike to cycle to work. The Council are currently looking at options to implement a cycle to work scheme at Charnwood. Work is in progress on requirements of setting up a scheme and will be communicated to staff once finalised.
